Color Trends for Artists & Designers

Fall is here and the seasonal palette is warm and autumnal. If you are a craftsperson, potter or an artist who designs housewares, your color palette right now will be yellows, golds, oranges, reds, browns and purples. But what about color trends in fashion or interior design? Those trends effect all creative people as these are the colors of the moment.

The 12 Hottest Design Colors and Combinations

  1. Gray (especially if paired with a bright color like yellow or green)
  2. Turquoise (especially when paired with hot pink)
  3. Camel

Paint your studio walls gray. This neutral, calming color will not compete with your paints, tints or pigments so you can see the colors as they truly are. As you know colors look different depending on what other colors they are next to. And gray is also the easiest color on the eye which is another plus for any workplace or studio.
