How to Thrive in this Economy

Educate yourself
Teach yourself something that you've always wanted to do or learn a skill that will make you more marketable. You can enroll in a class, but you can also teach yourself online. There are tons of resources to learn all sorts of things online and many of them are free. Books are also great ways to learn. If you are short on cash, go to your local library. | Learn More |
Stay active
Exercise, walk, hang out with your friends, do something while you wait. It will make the wait seem shorter and you'll do something good for yourself in the meantime. Don't stop connecting to others around you. If you find yourself depressed, get help.
Find Support
We've all been there. If you're really in a pickle, ask for help-whether it be financial support or moral support-we all need help once in a while. Don't be too proud to ask people around you for a hand. They know how tough times are for some people and many of them are very willing to help in whatever way they can. Support groups for people who have lost their jobs are cropping up everywhere. Sometimes just having someone to talk to about your struggles is enough to give you the lift you need to go forward. | Learn More |
Support Others
If you are struggling, you're not alone. Find people who you can help get on their feet and see how fast it lifts your spirits. | Learn More
